Social media has played a part in my life for some time. Beginning in 2014 with the creation of my first YouTube channel, I created YouTube videos of me ringing my home-dumbbell bellringing simulator. From very early on the popularity of these videos varied widely, some barely getting any views, to others receiving thousands. This channel is still in use today, but not regularly, as a favour the use of a channel created in 2016, specifically to showcase the art of Campanology. This channel is called 'Ringer Ollie', has has collectively massed over one-million views, and has over 300 videos on the page. It has only been recently that I have come to appreciate the effect this channel has had on encouraging other people to take up the art.
